What Nuqta FX is
Nuqta FX is an independent guide to forex and gold trading, written for traders in Africa and the Arab world. In English we write for traders in Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa, and also Ghana. We also publish in Arabic and French.
We aren’t a broker, and we aren’t part of any broker. Exness is the broker we recommend.
Why “Nuqta”
Nuqta (نقطة) is Arabic for “point”, and it is what Arabic-speaking traders call a pip: the smallest move in a price. Every number in trading starts there, from position size to risk to profit and loss. Our logo is the Arabic letter nūn (ن) with its single dot in gold. That is the idea behind the site: know what every point is worth before you put money at risk.
What we cover
- Learning forex: how the market works, lots, pips, leverage and margin, trading hours and demo accounts, starting with how to start forex trading
- Gold trading: XAUUSD, gold pip values and gold’s trading hours
- Calculators: lot size, gold lot size, margin and pip value
- Forex in your country: the regulator, the legal position and how people fund accounts in Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa
- Brokers: our Exness review, comparisons with other brokers, swap-free accounts, and how to choose a broker yourself
We write from regulators’ registers and notices, brokers’ own published information and, once they’re done, our own test accounts. We label which is which.
Why Exness is our recommended broker
We recommend Exness on criteria anyone can check: a locally licensed company in Kenya, no account minimum on its Standard and Standard Cent accounts, and local payment methods that Exness documents itself, such as naira bank transfer and M-Pesa. We also publish where Exness falls short. For example, it has no Nigerian registration, and on some points HFM or XM does better. Our comparisons say so plainly.
What we don’t do
- We don’t publish trading signals, trade ideas or “copy my trades” offers.
- We don’t tell anyone what or when to trade, and we don’t give personal investment advice.
- We don’t manage money or trade for anyone.
- We don’t give religious rulings. On swap-free accounts, we describe the feature and refer you to a qualified scholar.
- We never ask for your password, verification codes, PINs or money.
- We aren’t support for any broker, and we can’t see or change anyone’s trading account.
Who writes and checks this guide
The guides are written by Shaker Abady: “I founded Nuqta FX and write its guides. I’m a registered member of the CFA community, and I have traded on a live account myself, deposits and withdrawals included.”
The Editorial Room then checks every page before it’s published, comparing each figure with its source. The top of every page shows its writer, its reviewer and the date it was last updated. How we review brokers and gather evidence is set out in how we review. How we source, update and correct pages is in our editorial policy.
