Exness Sign Up: How to Open an Account in Nigeria, Kenya or South Africa

Short answer

For the Exness sign up, register on Exness's website or app with your real country of residence, an email address and a password. If you have a partner code, paste it into the Partner code field. Then upload proof of identity and proof of address. Choose your country carefully: it decides which Exness company you deal with and which payment methods you see, and you can't change it later.

Steps

  1. Start the sign-up

    Tap the Open an account button on this page, or go to Exness's website yourself. If you live in Kenya, expect to be sent to Exness's Kenyan site, exness.ke.

  2. Choose your country of residence

    Pick the country you live in and can prove with an address document. Exness ties your payment methods to this country, and you can't change it later.

  3. Enter your email and create a password

    Use an email address you check often and a password you don't use anywhere else. Never share it, including with people who offer to manage your account for you.

  4. Paste the partner code

    Copy the code from the box on this page and paste it into the Partner code field.

  5. Finish registration and open your Personal Area

    Before you accept the client agreement, check which Exness company it names. You then land in your Personal Area (PA), where you manage your trading accounts, deposits and withdrawals.

  6. Verify your identity and address

    Upload proof of identity and proof of address that match the name and country you registered with. Exness says checks can take up to 24 hours.

  7. Open a trading account

    Standard and Standard Cent have no account minimum. Pro, Raw Spread and Zero have minimums set by region. You can also open a demo of any type except Standard Cent.

  8. Make your first deposit

    Go to the deposit section of the Personal Area and pick a method listed for your country. Only the methods shown there are available to you.

Before you start

This guide walks through the Exness sign up from Nigeria, Kenya or South Africa. Exness is the broker we recommend to most beginners. Our Exness review sets out why, and where it falls short. If you’re still comparing brokers, read how to choose a forex broker first. If you’re new to trading, a demo account lets you practise with virtual money before you put any real money at risk.

Exness sign up: why your country choice matters

The country of residence you pick at sign-up does three things:

  • It decides which payment methods you see. Exness ties methods to your registered country, and you can’t change that country later.
  • It decides which Exness company you deal with. Kenyan residents, for example, are directed to exness.ke, run by Exness KE Limited.
  • It has to match your documents. Your proof of address needs to show the same country.

If you’ve moved recently, register with the country you can prove today.

The partner code

Sources outside Exness say you can’t add a partner code yourself after registration, so if you want to use one, enter it in the Partner code field during sign-up.

Signing up in the Exness Trade app? On the sign-up screen, look for the Partner code field and paste the code from the box on this page before you finish. If you can’t find the field, stop and check the screen again before you complete registration.

If you live in Kenya: exness.ke

Exness directs Kenyan residents to its Kenya-specific site, exness.ke. It’s run by Exness KE Limited, which holds Capital Markets Authority licence 162. If you choose Kenya as your country, expect to be taken there. Exness’s help centre says the maximum leverage for these accounts is 1:400. M-Pesa deposits and withdrawals are offered on exness.ke; our Kenya page covers them.

Exness isn’t registered with Nigeria’s SEC, and the SEC doesn’t yet have a registration category for online forex brokers. In April 2025 the SEC said that, under the Investments and Securities Act 2025, running an unregistered online forex platform is an offence. In September 2026 it published proposed rules that would require offshore brokers serving Nigerians to register. Those rules hadn’t been finalised when we last checked. Our Nigeria page explains this, and also covers naira deposits by bank transfer, USSD and QR, and withdrawals to a Nigerian bank. This is a description, not legal advice.

If you live in South Africa: choose your base currency carefully

A South African review site reports that ZAR can be the base currency on Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero accounts, but not on Standard Cent, and that the base currency can’t be changed once the account is open. Decide before you create the trading account. Our South Africa page also explains the Reserve Bank’s rules on funding trading accounts held abroad.

Getting verification right the first time

Once your Exness registration is complete, you’re asked for proof of identity (POI) and proof of address (POA), and Exness says checks can take up to 24 hours. Use the document list Exness shows on the upload screen. Before you upload:

  • make sure all four corners of the document are in the photo and the text is sharp;
  • check that the name and date of birth match what you typed at registration;
  • check that the address document shows the country you registered with;
  • don’t upload an expired document.

Which account type to open first

If you want to… Account type Why
Place very small real-money positions Standard Cent 1 cent lot = 0.01 standard lot; no account minimum
Use a simple account with no commission Standard No account minimum; spreads from 0.2 pips

Nobody should ask for your login

Nuqta FX will never message you asking you to open an account, ask for your password or verification codes, or offer to trade for you. If someone does that in our name, it isn’t us. For problems with your account, contact Exness support from inside your Personal Area.
